SFDSA History

St. Francis de Sales Academy, is a non-stock, non-profit, self-sustaining educational institution founded by Rev. Fr. Matthew Kavithazha, a member of the congregation of Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales and the first parish priest of San Jose Amang Mapagkalinga Parish. He established the school in 2000.

The school was managed by the parish priest in his capacity as the school director and he attended to the general needs and various concerns of the school in promoting the general welfare of the school and he was supported by the Board of Trustees. A school principal was hired to manage the school particularly in the administration and supervision of the teaching and learning processes and other academic affairs/concerns to ensure the effective delivery of educational services to the school clientele.

In January 2015, the school was turned over to the Diocese of Novaliches by the Religious Congregation of Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales, a religious institution of Hindi priests after twenty years of serving the parishioners and the school youth of Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. The school now is the ninth (9th) member-school of the RCBN-ES headed by Rev. Fr. Albert N. Delvoas the Superintendent-Director.
